Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower develops, builds and distributes a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. This includes school cargo buses, buses for cargo and shuttles.

EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle with a high degree of customization. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It provides a wide range of options, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery setups.

GreenPower Motor Company produces a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their most popular vehicle and it is able to be adapted to suit a wide range of applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows for the optimal placement of battery packs and lower center of gravity, resulting in higher payload to range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to serve mid-to-last mile refrigerated delivery as well as catering applications. The refrigerated trucks of class 4 with a single wall structure inside and higher insulation than traditional trucks, allow for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer life span. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior capacity for cargo and a world-class payload to range ratio that is ideal for zero emission passenger transport and goods.

GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems. This will enable fleets to move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.

We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on a local highway for several hours and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable to drive long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over bumps and ruts, while the EV9 does a great job of suppressing road noise and wind on the highway. The acceleration is surprisingly fast and the car has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one pedal driving" by simply taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 has excellent range and can be fully charged in just three hours at home or with any commercial charger. The driver can select from two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. The eco mode prioritizes torque and cruise control while the sport mode maximizes speed and handling. Both modes are fun to drive, and offer an experience unlike any other for those who have never driven an electrical vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicle offerings including a multi-purpose all-electric minibus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used as executive shuttles, transit or microtransit vanpools, buses, and paratransit vehicles.

GreenPower produces around 10 EV Star busses a month for Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric cars. GreenPower will increase production to meet the needs of the Biden Administration which wants to electrify all school buses in America.  Suggested Looking at  are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA compliant. This will make them eligible for federal transit grants. Keep an eye on us as we follow the AV Star on its demonstration tour later in the year. We will share more details on this exciting electric vehicle.
